Shouxihu farm is located at the west gate of Shouxian County, Anhui Province, a famous historical and cultural city. It grows wheat and soybeans all the year round. The area is very broad. It is adjacent to the Huaihe River in the north and irrigated by the Huaihe River. It has a perfect irrigation canal system and nearly fully mechanized planting and harvesting system. Shouxihu farm is located in the West shouxihu of Shouxian County, adjacent to Huaihe River in the north and Dongfei River in the East. Baoyi farm, located in the southwest of Wabu Lake, is a branch of the farm. The total area is 52.67 square kilometers, equivalent to 79000 mu, including 59900 mu of cultivated land, 1074 mu of forest land and 3012 mu of water surface. The total population was 8816 (2010). It has 1 branch, 15 agricultural production teams (including 3 Baoyi branch), 1 seed company, 1 fishery team, 6 industrial units, 1 construction team and 1 transportation team, 15 trade and catering service industries, 1 middle school and technical school, 2 primary schools and 1 hospital.

The soil is alluvial and silting soil in the Yellow River and Huaihe River. The land is flat and fertile. It is rich in wheat, soybean and some rice. The total power of agricultural machinery is 3.14 kW, including 144 large and medium-sized tractors, 106 combine harvesters, and 1.13 kW for agricultural irrigation and drainage. In 2000, the sown area of grain and beans was 118000 mu, and the total yield was 33400 tons. The average yield of wheat per mu was 415 kg for 59100 mu, and 135 kg for soybean per mu for 55900 mu. We will develop 1449 mu of greenhouse vegetables and 795 mu of intensive fish ponds. It is an important seed production base and processing center in the reclamation area. The industry mainly includes cement plant with an annual output of 20 tons of grinding production line, flour plant with an annual output of 5000 tons, lime kiln plant with an annual output of 20000 tons, compound fertilizer plant with an annual output of 3000 tons and agricultural machinery repair and manufacturing plant. The third industry mainly includes seed company, commercial company, agricultural machinery company and shouxihu hotel. At the beginning of reform and opening up, the farm was awarded the title of "red flag unit" by the State Administration of agricultural reclamation, and was awarded by the State Council and the provincial government for its rapid production development and good economic benefits.

The farm is located in the ancient battlefield of Feishui battle at the foot of Bagong mountain. The farm is located outside the west gate of Shouxian County, a famous historical and cultural city.
