Caomin Township
Caonian Xiang is located 20 kilometers southwest of Qinglong County in Hebei Province. It is located in mountainous area. Covering an area of 85 square kilometers, the township government is stationed in Caonan village. There is the great wall of Ming Dynasty.
The township has a simple road leading to Qinhuangdao, Tangshan, Lulong, Changli, LUANNAN and other places. Agriculture mainly produces millet, corn, soybean and sweet potato. Produce apple, chestnut, walnut.
General situation of hometown
From liujiakou to the south, bounded by the Great Wall, the township is 30 kilometers away from Beijing Shenyang Expressway, only one hour away from Qian'an City, 25 kilometers away from Taolinkou reservoir dam and more than 100 kilometers away from Qinhuangdao city. The whole township is 20 kilometers long from north to South and 5 kilometers wide from east to west. The township has 12493 mu of arable land, 1.2 mu of arable land per capita, 3208000 kg of grain output, 286 kg per mu on average, 51216 mu of forest land, 39.4% of forest coverage, and 517 yuan of per capita net income of farmers.
Evolution of organizational system
Cao Nian: on the North Bank of Qinglong River, in 1670 ad (9 years of Kangxi reign of Qing Dynasty), two brothers of Manchu surnamed Zhu moved here. It was named trough roller in the village, and later evolved into grass roller. Caomin township was established in 1956, Shuguang commune was established in 1958, Caomin commune was established in 1961, and the township was restored in 1984. In 1995, dangzhangzi township was incorporated.
