In 1952, Taizhi township was divided into Yecun township. In 1956, Taizhi township was merged into Yecun Township, and huanggongdu and tasixia of Wangcun Township were included. It was established as Yecun brigade of Hongqi commune in 1958, changed to Yecun management area of Xiping commune in 1959, and changed to Yecun commune after the establishment of Zhaitan commune in 1961. In June 1984, it was renamed Yecun Township, belonging to Songyang district. In June 1992, Zhejiang province implemented the policy of "withdrawing districts, expanding towns and merging townships". Songyang county set up 20 townships and retained Yecun township.
economic development
agricultural economy
Farmers in Yecun township have been mainly engaged in farming, and grain production is the basic industry of Yecun village. The whole Township originally undertook 160 tons of state procurement every year, and the actual sales can be as high as 1200 tons. Before 1970, when Dongwu reservoir was not built, disasters occurred frequently and grain yield was low. After the construction of water conservancy, farmland transformation and scientific farming, the grain output increased year by year, with the highest annual total output of 6800 tons. In 1977, agricultural teams were organized in silingxia, Hetou, Yecun and relatively large guantian villages to carry out variety improvement demonstration and experiment. In 1981, silingxia village sent people to Hainan Island to study and cultivate hybrid varieties. After large-scale promotion of hybrid rice cultivation, the rice yield rose to a higher level. In 1983, the household contract responsibility system was implemented, which further stimulated the enthusiasm of farmers. The total grain output increased year by year. With the adjustment of agricultural structure, agricultural production has shifted from grain production to benefit agriculture. Planting rice, spring corn, silkworm pea, tea, bamboo shoots, sericulture and other crops is the main product of Yecun. In 2003, there were 437.3 hectares of paddy fields, 3732 tons of grain, 188.6 hectares of tea, 151.1 hectares of orchards, 268.1 hectares of broad beans, 13.3 hectares of mulberry gardens, 3.42 million bags of mushrooms and 245.33 hectares of vegetables. In 2003, 15057 pigs were raised, with 5.8 pigs per household. The output value of animal husbandry was 6.51 million yuan, with 801 yuan per capita. In 2003, the total area of Spring Maize in the township was 159.5 hectares, with an output value of 2.64 million yuan. Spring maize has been listed in the city's "Harvest Plan" project. ? tea and fruit production: in the past, tea was only planted sporadically in the fields and corners, in front of and behind houses, for personal use. By 2003, the total area of tea in the township reached 188.6 hectares. The main varieties were Wuniuzao, Longjing 43, yinshuang and Baicha. There were 8 tea processing households with an annual output of 150 tons of tea and a total output value of 5.66 million yuan. In the spring of 1976, Wenzhou tangerine was planted in wayaoshan, Songshan village, covering an area of 4.45 hectares, ranking first among the three pillar industries (Citrus, tea and mulberry leaves) in the 1980s. In 2003, the citrus area of the whole Township reached 100.6 hectares, with an annual output of 2264 tons and an annual output value of 2.69 million yuan. In the spring of 1998, Songshan village began planting 0.1 hectare of Songshan plum in spring, and the area reached 80 hectare in 2003. ??
Forestry production
The forestry land area of the township is 2881.87 hectares, accounting for 67.6% of the total area, with forest land area of 2590.33 hectares, ecological public welfare forest area of 52.2%, and bamboo forest area of 12.9%. All previous governments have attached great importance to the development of forestry production. Centering on the strategic goal of "ecological township", they have formulated long-term forestry development plans and insisted on carrying out long-term work such as closing hillsides for afforestation, afforestation and forest management and protection. There are doumi'ao, Daitou Village Forest Farm and Township Forest Farm. Under the organization of the township government, 8 villages with ecological public welfare forest implement joint management and protection. In 1994, the forest timber stock reached 59620 cubic meters, and the bamboo stock reached 710000. Yecun township is located in the southwest of the county. Dongwuyuan, the largest river in the township, has built Dongwu reservoir, the largest water supply base for living and production in the county. It is of great significance to promote forest ecological construction. Proceeding from the reality, the township party committee and government defined 1355.33 hectares of ecological public welfare forest in 2002. Among them, 57.13 hectares of national ecological public welfare forest, 1051.73 hectares of provincial ecological public welfare forest and 246.47 hectares of county ecological public welfare forest have signed management and protection contracts, implemented closure measures and strengthened management and protection. The water source ecology of Dongwuyuan reservoir is effectively protected. There are 30 ancient and famous trees in the township. Hengkeng and doumi'ao have a history of bamboo handicrafts. In the past, the management level of bamboo forest was relatively low. Through the establishment of 12.67 hectares bamboo shoot forest demonstration base and the technical transformation and promotion of low yield bamboo forest, the management level of bamboo forest in the township has been greatly improved, providing high-quality bamboo raw materials for the bamboo market in wayaotou every year. Before 1997, the forestry station was under the dual leadership of the township party committee government and the forestry department. In 1998, Yecun township forestry work station was established, which is an agency of the forestry department. It has an independent financial and staff team to perform the functions of "management, organization, guidance and service". In 2000, Lianxiang station was established by merging with Zhaitan township forestry work station and managed by Xiping forestry center station. In 2003, it was renamed forestry group. ??
