Dongfang town

Dongfang Town, located in the northeast of Jinyun County, Zhejiang Province, along the Haoxi river. Lubeng, the seat of the town government, is 15 kilometers away from the county seat, adjacent to Huzhen Town, Qianlu Township and Sanxi Township in the East, Shuhong town in the south, Xiandu, a national scenic spot in the west, and Yongkang City in the north. Dongfang town government is located in lubeng village, with an area of 81 square kilometers (2017) and a population of 17735 (2017).

Administrative division

It has jurisdiction over 17 administrative villages: lubeng, LIAOSHAN, Xinshen, Sifang, Jingyue, Dongfang, mashiqiao, Maanshan, Daishi, Yanyao, Xu, Donghu, Longkeng, daisikou, zhoushengtang, hengtangan and lingtoufang, with 17 villagers' committees.

Township Development

The town was established in 1992. The former Dongjin Township, Lubang Township and Jingyue Township were merged into a town. It has become an important industrial town, a big agricultural town and a strong educational town in the whole county. The terrain is mainly hilly, with valley basins in the middle and northwest, and low mountains in the southeast.
