Qushan town is located in the middle and north of Zhoushan archipelago in Zhejiang Province. It belongs to Daishan County. It is located at the outer edge of the estuary of the Yangtze River and Qiantang River. It is backed by Shanghai, Hangzhou and Ningbo economic zones. Qushan mountain is located in the north of Zhoushan Archipelago, northeast of Daishan County, and outside the estuary of Yangtze River and Qiantang River. There are three major Straits in China: Taiwan Strait, Bohai Strait and Qiongzhou Strait. There are three waterways in Qushan, namely Qushan waterway, huangze waterway and Chuanhu waterway. They are one of the important passageways in and out of Hangzhou Bay Economic Circle. They are also one of the frontier ports connecting Zhejiang with Japan and South Korea. Chuanhu waterway is about 7 km wide. The huangze waterway is about 4 km wide. Qushan waterway is about 11-15 km wide and 20 km long.

Resource status

1、 Deep water shoreline is rich in resources. Qushan port area is one of the eight major port areas of Zhoushan port, including Daqushan, xiaoqushan, huangzeshan, rat wave Island, etc. the port area composed of islands extends in all directions and has been open to the outside world since January 1, 2004.

The harbor is an ideal port for the construction of a large-scale deep-water port in China's coastal areas with smooth water depth, open anchorage, smooth channel, sufficient hinterland and good windproof conditions.

The total length of the island's coastline is 101 kilometers, of which more than 30 kilometers can be used. The water depth is more than 10 meters, 23 kilometers, 20 meters and 7 kilometers, and the waterway depth is more than 14 meters to 24 meters. The specific distribution is as follows:

(1) Sheyimen deep water shoreline in the East. The West Coast section, from Dashatou to Shetou in the east of Qushan Island, is 4000 meters long, 20 meters in front, and 700-1100 meters away from the shore. The east bank section, from xiaopanshan to xiaolangdao, is 4500m long. The water depth of the front is 10m to 20m. The isobath is 100-150m away from the bank. The water depth of the channel is more than 23.5m.

(2) Deep water shoreline to the south. One section is 6500 meters long from shatangzui to niluoshan with a 10 meter isobath at the front, 100-450 meters away from the shore; the other section is 7500 meters long from niluoshan to lijiniangjiao with a 10 meter isobath at the front, 100-750 meters away from the shore. Except for the headlands, the land area in the back margin of the south bank is mainly tidal flats, with a plain area of more than 6 square kilometers. The basin is 5000 meters wide and the outer channel is more than 14 meters deep.

(3) Deep water shoreline to the north. Shizimen bank section is 2000 meters long; chaotoumen Gongshan bank section is 5000 meters long, and the channel depth is more than 19 meters.

(4) Huangze deepwater shore section. Located in the southwest Bank of huangze island between Qushan island and Sijiao Island, the coastline is 15738 meters long, with 3000 meters of deep water available. From Xiaoshan to changshanzui, the front is 20 meters, the isobath is about 500 meters away from the shore, and the water depth of the channel is more than 24 meters.

2、 Wind energy resources are abundant. The maximum wind speed in Qushan can reach 40 m / s, the average wind speed over the years can reach 6.9 M / s, and the annual wind power can generate 50-100 thousand kilowatts of wind power.

3、 There are 4422 mu of salt fields and 13.8 square kilometers of tidal flats. There are many suitable reclamation areas and sea areas.
