Major celebrities
Yin county magistrate, Yang Yi, a native of Pucheng, Shaanxi Province, was appointed Yin county magistrate in February of the fifth year of Yongzheng reign in Qing Dynasty. After 27 months in Yin, he went to Xianxiang District of Yinzhou District for many times to lead the people to build water conservancy, dredge rivers and build seawalls. Finally, he became ill after a long period of hard work. He died in May of the seventh year of Yongzheng at the age of 36. After Yang Yi's death, the walls of her home were desolate and she had no money. People called her an incorruptible official. When people in Xianxiang heard of Yang Yi's death, they walked hundreds of miles to come here to help her and beat her up. The audience cried and lost her voice. Later, the villagers of Xianxiang spontaneously raised money to set up a temple to commemorate him. Yang Gong temple was built next to Xianyang temple, which was later destroyed in the 1960s. It was rebuilt on the basis of the original site in 2005 and completed in December 2006. In order to commemorate the good county magistrate who brought benefits to the people, Xianxiang people donated money spontaneously without spending any money from the government. It was built by local skilled craftsmen in Xianxiang. The architectural style has local characteristics. In the future, documents such as "the inscription of Yang Gong" and "the strategy of governing Yin" will be stored.
