Wanshi town

Wanshi town is located in the northwest of Fuyang District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It borders Lin'an District in the northwest, Dongqiao town in the southeast and Tonglu County in the West.

There are many mountains in the town, which is the afterblood of Tianmu Mountain in the West. There are Niuling and baizhangling in the north, Xinling in the East, fuyunling and Maling in the West. History of construction

The name of the town originated from the Ming Dynasty. Wan yueniang, a virgin, invested in the construction of stone arch bridge in Nan'an, which was called Wanshou bridge at that time, and later changed to Wanshi bridge. In the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, water transportation depended on bamboo rafts. The bamboo rafts loaded with goods went up against gexi River to unload goods at Wanshi bridge, where businessmen opened stores and formed a market. Because "Shi" and "Shi" were homonymous, it was renamed Wanshi bridge, and the name of the town was derived from the name of the bridge.

The eastern border of Fenshui county was in the Tang Dynasty. In the Five Dynasties, it belonged to Lin'an County. Song Taiping Xingguo six years (981), home Nanxin County, the county in today's Qiaotou village. In 1072, the county was abandoned as a town, belonging to Xincheng County. In Ming, Qing and Republic of China, Nanxin, Nan'an and Ningshan townships were part of each other; in the late Republic of China, Longmen and Gucheng townships were part of each other.
