Siming town is located in the northwest of Sheyang County, Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province. It is a new Siming town formed by the merger of Tongyang town and Siming town. The town government is located at No.4 Siming Road, Hongda neighborhood committee, Siming town. Siming town covers an area of 174.57 square kilometers (2017), with a population of 72205 (2017), 142684 mu of arable land and 96544 mu of water surface. There are two water systems between Sheyang River and Xinmin River in the area under its jurisdiction. Water transportation is very convenient. Sheyang River can be used for navigation of more than 1000 tons of ships, and Tongyang port in the area can be used for navigation of 500 tons of ships.
