In 1949, it belonged to six districts of leting County; in 1984, it was changed into pangezhuang township; in 1996, Qingtuo township was incorporated into the county. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Pang Zhuang township was 20725. As of June 2020, Panggezhuang township has jurisdiction over 22 administrative villages, and the Township People's government is stationed in Panggezhuang village.
