Shoubi Nanshan is a Chinese idiom, pronounced sh ò UB ǐ n á NSH ā n, which means to wish people a long life. It means to live as long as Zhongnanshan and is used to praise the elderly. It comes from the book of songs Xiaoya Tianbao: "it's as constant as the moon, as the rising of the sun, as the longevity of Nanshan Mountain, and it doesn't last forever. Such as the pines and cypresses of Mao, all you or Cheng Nanshan in the poem refers to Zhongnanshan in Shaanxi Province.
