Synopsis
A doctor named David arrow is interested in the past story of this mountain house. He falsely claims to do a research on sleep disorders, and brings three other people to the house. These three people are: theo (Catherine Zeta Jones), a woman who is not as brave as she looks; Luke (Owen Wilson), As a cynic, he is the first to doubt Dr. arrow's motives; Nell (Lili Taylor) is the most sensitive one in the group. As soon as she comes to the house, she seems to be deeply attracted by something.
Although they were warned that no one could stay in the house for one night, they still stayed in. Soon after, the terrible ghost appeared. Then they understood why they had been warned not to spend the night in the house, especially in the dark. The walls of the house stand upright and the floor is strong. Liam Nissen
Irish Born Liam Nissen worked as a forklift at the Guinness brewery, truck driver, principal architect and amateur boxer. He also studied at St. Mary's normal college in Belfast to become a teacher. The entire hall in the film covers an area of 15000 square feet and is 45 feet high, including a huge fireplace with a volume of nearly 1440 cubic feet.
The gorgeous bedroom and corridor in the cottage are set up in the studio of Raleigh Studios on Manhattan Beach, and the production designer Eugenio zaniti uses the mirror at the end of the corridor to create an unlimited visual effect.
The creaks and groans in the cottage were pre recorded and played on the set to stimulate the actors' natural expressions of fear.
During the filming, Liam Neeson nicknamed Catherine Zeta Jones "Welsh gazelle" because a running scene was repeated many times, and Neeson couldn't keep up with Zeta Jones every time.
The film was initially decided to be produced by Timon pictures and directed by Wes crane.
