At the end of the Western Han Dynasty, the warlord of Gansu and Gansu separated from Liu Xiu and went to take refuge with Gongsun Shu, who became emperor in Sichuan. In a rage, Liu Xiu sent troops to attack kaixiao, but he was defeated by kaixiao. Liu Xiu sent another general Feng Yi to occupy the city. When he got the news, the command department immediately went to the city to seize the favorable terrain. After Feng Yi's generals knew, they all advised Feng Yi not to fight with the patrol army. Feng Yi said firmly: "we must seize the land of Lu and wait for work with ease." Feng Yi ordered his troops to March quickly and occupied the town before the patrol. As soon as the patrolling troops arrived at the foot of the city in a hurry, the drums on the tower suddenly burst out, showing Feng Yi's flag. Feng Yi opened the gate of the city and led the soldiers to rush out of the city, defeating the enemy. it is called "waiting for work with ease" to let one's own army store up its strength to wait for the enemy coming from afar in order to eliminate the enemy.
