Idiom story
Cao Zhi, whose name is Zijian, is the third son born to Bian, Cao Cao's wife. When she was 10 years old, Yinghui read a lot of poems, essays and Fu, which won Cao Cao's favor.
Once, after reading Cao Zhi's article, Cao Cao asked, "I've read your article. It's well written. Did you ask someone else to write it for you?" Cao Zhi knelt down and said: "no, I can speak out and write down. If you don't agree, you can test me face to face. How can you say that I asked someone to write for me?"
At that time, a new Tongque platform was built in Yecheng (now southwest of Linzhang, Hebei Province). Cao Cao called his sons to the platform and ordered them to write a fu. Cao Zhi picked up the pen and wrote it immediately. He was very talented and surprised. Because Cao Cao liked Cao Zhi very much, he wanted to make him prince several times. However, Cao Zhi's laissez faire behavior and repeated violations of the law caused Cao Cao's anger and made his brother Cao Pi crown prince.
Later, when Cao Cao went out to fight, Cao Pi and Cao Zhi went to see him off. When he left, Cao Zhi read an article praising Cao Cao's merits on the spot, which was highly appreciated by everyone. Someone whispered in Cao Pi's ear, "the king is going to leave. You just have to express your sadness." Cao Pi said goodbye to Cao Cao with tears. Cao Cao was moved and shed tears. After this event, Cao Cao's love for Cao Zhi gradually changed. Cao Cao felt that although Cao Pi was not as talented as Cao Zhi, he was honest and had feelings for him.
After Cao Pi became the king of Wei, someone reported that Cao Zhi often drank wine and cursed people, and detained the envoys he sent. Cao Pi seized this opportunity and immediately sent people to Linzi to take Cao Zhi back to Yecheng for interrogation.
It is said that after Cao Pi summoned Cao Zhi, in order to punish him, he asked him to write a poem after seven steps. If he can do it, he won't die.
Cao Zhi thought about it a little, then took a step, read a sentence, and read a poem casually
"Boiled beans burn Osmunda, beans cry in the kettle. They were born of the same root, so it's too urgent to fry each other. "
After hearing this, Cao Pi felt that he had forced his younger brother too hard. He felt ashamed in his heart, so he exempted Cao Zhi from the death penalty. However, the story of Cao Zhi's writing and poem has been handed down from generation to generation.
Later, people often use the idiom "writing into a chapter" to describe writing quickly.
