historical facts
Sima Zhao was born in Wei during the Three Kingdoms period. His father's name was Sima Yi and he was a general of Wei. When Cao Rui died, he entrusted Cao Shuang and Sima Yi to assist Cao Fang, king of Qi, to govern the world. Cao Shuang and Sima Yi excluded each other. After a fierce power struggle, Sima Yi killed Cao Shuang as much as possible, and the military and political power of Wei state fell into Sima's hands. After Sima Yi's death, his eldest son, Sima Shi, soon abolished Cao Fang, who was an adult but had not been able to take charge of the government. Cao Mao, a 13-year-old, became emperor. He was more powerful than Sima Yi, but soon died. When Sima Shi was seriously ill, he gave all power to his younger brother Sima Zhao. When Sima Zhao came to power, he was more ambitious and always wanted to replace Cao Mao. He constantly eradicated dissidents and attacked political enemies. Young Cao Mao knew that even if he was a "puppet" emperor, he would never be a leader. Sooner or later, he would be removed by Sima Zhao, so he planned to take the plunge to kill Sima Zhao by surprise attack. One day, Cao Mao called his confidant ministers and said to them, "everyone knows Sima Zhao's heart. I can't bear the disgrace of being overthrown in vain. I want you to join me in fighting against him. " Several ministers knew that doing so was tantamount to throwing a moth into a fire, and advised him to be patient for a while. Wang Jing, one of the people who was present, said to Cao Mao, "the power now falls into Sima Zhao's hands, and the civil and military forces of the Manchu Dynasty are all his people. King, your strength is weak, you act rashly, and the consequences are unimaginable. You should consider it carefully." Cao Mao didn't accept the advice and led hundreds of servants and bodyguards to attack Sima Zhao. Who knows, some of the ministers reported the news to Sima Zhao. Sima Zhao immediately sent troops to intercept and kill Cao Mao. Later, people used "Sima Zhao's heart is known to all" to show that the conspirators' ambition is very obvious, which has been well known.
Story interpretation
One evening in 260 ad, it rained suddenly in Luoyang. The rain turned from sparse to dense, and the sky was dark with occasional thunder and lightning. the biggest beginning of history on this day is not the rainstorm in Luoyang, but a political storm in the palace. Echoing with the crackling rain outside the palace, the palace is also a clamor, people call horse hiss, weapons intersect. It turned out that Cao Mao, the emperor of Wei, was so angry that he decided to go out of the palace and kill Sima Zhao himself. Cao Mao took his redundant servants, such as Li Zhao and Huang men's subordinate officer Jiao Bo, to the cloud terrace of the mausoleum. He put on his armor, picked up the battle, and gathered the soldiers in the palace to fight against Sima Zhao. the palace was in chaos. An official stopped Cao Mao and told him that it was raining heavily, so he asked the emperor to take back his life. Cao Mao pushed him away. After hearing the news, Wang Shen, Wang Jing and Wang Ye arrived. When Cao Mao saw the three men coming, he didn't wait for them to speak. He cried out: "Sima Zhao's heart is known to passers-by. I can't stand his humiliation, I can't wait to be deposed by him. Let us settle this matter today. Today, I will go out with you. " Wang Jing sincerely admonished: "in the past, Duke Lu Zhao couldn't stand the authoritarian Ji family. As a result, he lost his position as king and made fun of the world. Now the power of the state has been in the Sima family for a long time. It is not a day for people to ignore the principle of disobedience. How can the emperor's palace guards be relied on to accomplish great things? Once the military situation is launched, it seems that the disease may not be eliminated, but will deepen! There may even be unforeseen disasters. Please consider it carefully. " When Cao Mao heard such a cold reality analysis, he was furious. He took out the board in his arms and threw it on the ground. He said harshly, "I have made up my mind. Even if things fail, what's so terrible? What's more, you don't have to die! " Cao Shao left three people behind and bid farewell to the Empress Dowager in a hurry. He led hundreds of guards and officials in the palace to beat the war drums and leave. Wearing new armor, the emperor sat on the chariot, holding a sword and shouting to kill the thief to boost his morale. This is the first time in Chinese history. Seeing this, Wang Shen and Wang Ye decided to report to Sima Zhao. They called on Wang Jing to tell the truth together: "this is the end of the matter. We can't kill ourselves. We should turn ourselves in to Sima mansion to avoid death. Will Wang Shangshu go with him? " Wang Jing replied, "the Lord is worried about the disgrace of his subjects, and the Lord disgraces his subjects to death. You two go. I'm not going Wang Shen and Wang Ye saw that they could not persuade Wang Jing, so they quickly stepped out of the palace and copied the path to report to Sima Zhao. On this side, Cao Shao led hundreds of servants out. Sima Zhao's younger brother, commander of tunqi, happened to have something to do with entering the palace. When he met the angry Cao Mao and the mob in the palace, he was surprised. Cao Mao yelled at him, and Sima Lin and his party fled in a hurry. Cao Mao's victory made him more confident in the future of this hand to hand fight, so he yelled more loudly. The entourage was infected and the flags and weapons were waved more happily. under the south palace, the party members of Sima Zhao who got the news had gathered their troops under the leadership of Jia Chong, the central guard, to fight in array. Sima and his son have been in charge of the army all the year round. Naturally, the combat effectiveness of the army is not comparable to Cao Mao's mob. When Jia Chong saw a nondescript army slowly coming out of the palace, he scoffed. He waved to take the initiative to counterattack, and led his troops into Cao Mao's army. Cao Mao's army broke up and retreated. Cao Mao was in a hurry and cried out, "I'm the son of heaven, who dares to stop me!" Waving a sword, slashing left and right. The soldiers on Sima Zhao's side were at a loss when they saw that the little emperor was barefaced, so they had to avoid and dare not advance. Seeing this, the soldiers and servants gathered again and went on outside the palace. The armies on both sides kept a distance and began to stick. Cao Mao thought that God blessed the Cao family. As the son of heaven, he was invincible in the world, and he made more efforts to fight forward with his sword. The army on Sima's side fled in a panic, and the situation began to go against Sima Zhao. On Sima Zhao's side, the prince Sheren Chengji ran to Jia Chong and asked, "it's urgent! What should we do? " Jia Chong said maliciously, "if there is no skin, how can Mao attach himself. If the Sima family fails, will we come to a good end? Not yet He yelled to the soldiers around him: "Sima's family is used to support you today. There is nothing to be hesitant about today. " Cheng Ji Lue thought and said, "that's right!" Then he took out Tiege and assassinated Cao Mao. Cao Mao had no defensive power. He was taken in by Cheng Ji's spear, came out on his back, spattered blood on the palace wall, and died immediately. This is the end of a palace coup. Cao Mao was the first emperor in Chinese history to go to the battle naked and assassinate powerful officials, but he failed. Another individual heroism emperor in ancient history is yuan Ziyou of the Northern Wei Dynasty. Although he killed the power minister, he did not solve the problem of power minister in power. Compared with the powerful officials, the biggest weapon of the emperor growing up in the deep palace is his own blood. The gold lettered signboard of "emperor" can still frighten the vast majority of people. For example, Cao Mao's emperor light played a significant role in fighting. Unfortunately, it's their only weapon, and it's a weapon that's constantly passivated. With the consolidation of power and people's disappointment with the royal family, the emperor's light gradually faded. What's more, for the party members of the powerful officials, their interests are diametrically opposite to those of the emperor. The reason why Cheng Ji dared to assassinate the emperor in full view of the public was that he was appointed by Jia Chong. Cao Mao used the authority, nobility and dignity of the emperor to defend the authority, nobility and dignity of the emperor. The biggest reason for his failure was that he attached too much importance to the status of emperor. The little emperor, known as "Cai Tong CHEN Si, Wu Lei Tai Zu", ended his 20-year-old life in this rare but understandable, noble and humiliating way. Cao Mao was originally not born from the throne, but just a noble fellow. In 254, Cao Fang, the Wei emperor, was deposed by Sima Shi and was granted the title of king of Qi. Cao Mao was chosen as the new emperor because he was Cao Pi's direct grandson. At that time, Cao was only 14 years old. Although he was young, because he saw the political reality of family changes, court fights and the decline of the royal family too early, he showed his maturity and sophistication which was not in line with his age. Zhengshi Yan called him "talented, wise and accomplished" and "a great amount of success". When Cao Shao arrived in Luoyang from other places, his officials welcomed him and worshipped him in the south of Xiye gate. Cao Mao got out of the sedan chair at the door and asked for help
