If you don't work hard when you are young, you will feel sad when you are old. This maxim is taken from the ancient poem changgexing by the Yuefu of the Han Dynasty. The original poem is like this: "sunflower in the green garden, morning dew waiting for the sun.". Yangchun budeze, all things shine. Often afraid of Autumn Festival, Kun Huanghua leaves decline. When will all rivers return to the sea? If you don't work hard when you are young, you will be sad when you are old. " It can be seen that the last two sentences are the conclusion of the whole poem and the gist of the poem. In the poem, the image of sunflower in the garden, flourishing in spring and declining in autumn, is used to describe the beauty of life in youth and the sadness of old age; and the image of the river flowing eastward is used to describe the passage of time, not staying for one person, just for the last two warnings.
