thirst after talents
Chinese idiom, Pinyin is Qi ú Xi á NRU ò K ě, which means to describe the urgency of talents, refers to cherish talents. It comes from the biography of Zhou Ju in the book of the later Han Dynasty.

In the Southern Dynasty, Song Dynasty and Fan Ye's Hou Han Shu Zhou Ju Zhuan: "in the past, I was thirsty for talents." In the biography of Zhuge Liang in the annals of the Three Kingdoms, Shu annals, it is said that "the heroes are always in charge, and the sages are thirsty." According to Wei Shikang's biography in the book of Sui Dynasty, "I have been a commoner for a long time; I am thirsty for talents; I hope to govern the world with the public, so as to achieve peace." Chapter 47 of the romance of the Three Kingdoms by Luo Guanzhong in the Ming Dynasty: it is said that Prime Minister Cao is thirsty for talents, but this question does not agree. Chapter 12 of the scholars by Wu Jingzi of Qing Dynasty: you two are thirsty for talents! If you are eager to meet Mr. Quan, you may not have to go in person. Chapter 14 of Shi Yukun's three heroes and five righteousness in Qing Dynasty: Bao Gong said with a smile: "I'm thirsty for talents. When I see such warriors, why don't I love them?"

Idiom story
During the Warring States period, Jin Xian offered bribes to the state of Yu, killed Guo and Yu, and captured bailixi, a senior official of the state of Yu. Jin Xian married bailixi as a slave to the state of Chu. Qin Mu released bailixi in exchange for five pieces of sheepskin, and discussed with him. Bailixi recommended uncle Jian to him. Duke mu of Qin paid a lot of money to welcome uncle Jian and made him a doctor.
