original text
"The song of climbing Youzhou platform" -- Chen Zi'ang did not see the ancients before, and did not see the comers after. When I think of the long history of heaven and earth, I feel sad and shed tears.
appreciation
In terms of diction, this poem is deeply influenced by Chuci, especially Yuanyou. "Yuanyou" says: "only the infinite heaven and earth, mourning the long and diligent life. I can't hear the past, but I can't hear the future. " This sentence is from then on, but the mood is more boundless and powerful. At the same time, in the aspect of sentence structure, it adopts the style of Chuci with mixed length. In the first two sentences, there are five words in each sentence and three pauses, the pattern of which is: before -- not seeing -- ancients, after -- not seeing -- comers; in the last two sentences, there are six words in each sentence and four pauses, the pattern of which is: read -- heaven and earth -- it -- long, alone -- pathetic -- and -- tears.
author
Chen Zi'ang (661-702), a poet of the early Tang Dynasty, was born in Shehong, Zizhou (now Sichuan Province). His poems follow the style of Jian'an and Zhengshi, and oppose the style of Qi Liang. His representative works are eighteen ancient poems of sentimental experience. Chen Zi'ang played an important role in the development of Tang poetry. Han Yu's poem "Jianshi" says: "when the country became prosperous, Zi ang began to dance high." It's very pertinent. He once served as the right scavenger, including Chen Shiyi collection. Chen Zi'ang is a scholar with political insight and talent. He dared to remonstrate. He often criticized many bad policies of Empress Wu Dynasty, which was not accepted by Empress Wu. He was once jailed for "rebelling against the party".
Youzhou station
Youzhoutai: jibeilou, located in today's Beijing. On this ancient Youzhou platform, I think of the ancient things. At that time, King Yanzhao begged for scholars, built Jintai, and solicited talents from all over the world. But this is a matter of "not seeing the ancients before, not seeing the coming after.". The author felt very disappointed, and a sense of infinite depression was born in his heart. "The vast sky, the vast wilderness, and the chest of injustice, how to complain!" Think of here, mixed feelings, "alone pathetic and tears down.". Poetry has a great spirit, language and the style of the ancients. This article is also excellent in artistic expression. The first two sentences look up to the past and present, and write a long time; the third sentence looks up to the building, and write a vast space. In the vast background, the fourth sentence describes the poet's lonely, sad and depressed mood, which is very moving. Reading this poem, we will deeply feel a desolate and solemn atmosphere. It seems that there is a vast picture of the Northern Wilderness in front of us. In front of this picture, there stands a poet who is ambitious but feels lonely and sad because he has no way to serve the country. Therefore, he is deeply excited.
background
In 696, Qidan, Li Jinzhong and sun Wanrong captured Yingzhou. Wu Zetian appointed Wu Youyi to lead the army to fight. Chen Ziang served as a staff officer in Wu Youyi's shogunate and accompanied him to fight. Wu is rash, but less strategic. The next year, he was defeated, and the situation was urgent. Chen Zi'ang asked to send ten thousand men to attack the enemy, but Wu refused. Later, Chen Zi'ang went to Wu again, but instead of listening, he demoted him to the rank of sergeant. The poet suffered setbacks one after another and saw his ambition to serve the country come to nothing. So he went up to Jibei tower (Youzhou terrace, the site of which is in today's Beijing) and wrote poems such as "dengyouzhou terrace song" and "seven poems given to Lu Ju Shi by Jiqiu in ancient times". "no ancients before, no comers after." The ancients here refer to the wise monarchs who were able to be courteous to the virtuous corporal in ancient times. Jiqiu visiting the ancient times and presenting it to Lu Jushi for collection and use are the same works as dengyouzhou Taige, whose contents can be used for reference. The seven poems of "visiting the ancient in Jiqiu" show great admiration for such historical deeds as the courtesy of King Yan Zhao to Yue Yi and Guo Kai, and the courtesy of Prince YAN Dan to Tian Guang in the Warring States period. However, like King yanzhao, the virtuous monarch of the former generation is no longer visible, and the wise master of the later generation has no time to see him. He was born at a wrong time. When he stepped on the stage and looked far away, he could only see the vast universe and the eternal world. He could not help feeling lonely and sad, and shed tears. In a generous and sad tone, this article shows the poet's frustrated situation and lonely and depressed feelings. This kind of sadness is often shared by many people who are not able to meet their talents in the old society, so it is widely echoed.

In Yandi, when he boarded the ancient Youzhou platform, he remembered the story of ancient Yanzhao King's important use of General Yue Yi, and wrote a poem: "no ancients before, no comers after. When I think of the long history of heaven and earth, I feel sad and shed tears
