Dry fish
As a Chinese idiom, the Pinyin is k ū y ú h é zh é, which means the crucian carp in the dry rut ditch. It refers to the person or thing in trouble and in urgent need of help. It comes from Chuang Tzu's foreign things.

Idiom story
During the Warring States period, the thinker Zhuang Zhou used fables in Zhuangzi. In the chapter of foreign things, he said: Zhuang Zhou heard a voice calling him on his journey. He found a minnow in the rut. Minnow was about to be short of water and asked for help. Zhuang Zhou was ready to take a glass of water to save him. Minnow said that he was a boschen in the East China Sea, where could this water of struggle survive.
