Self restraint and prudence
Chinese idiom, Pinyin is k è J ǐ sh è nx í ng, which means to restrain yourself and do things carefully. It comes from the preface to the second part of sending Qi Fu.

Han Yu, Tang Dynasty, wrote the preface of sending Qi Fu to the lower part: "therefore, the people of the upper class are willing to choose friendship, so that they have no worries at the lower part; the people of the lower class are self disciplined and cautious, so that they have no doubts at the upper part."
