At that time, Liu Bang and Xiang Yu were at loggerheads. A Confucian scholar named Li Shiqi gave Liu Bang an idea to enfeoffment the descendants of the six states during the Warring States period. Liu Bang hesitated and asked Zhang Liang about the idea during the meal. Zhang Liang immediately expressed his firm opposition. He grabbed a chopstick from Liu Bang's food case and said, "please let me plan for the king with this chopstick." Then it makes a detailed analysis, refutes the harm of this proposition from eight aspects, and puts forward a chopstick for each reason. This is the origin of the allusion "borrow bamboo to raise money on behalf of others", which can also be called "Zhang Liang borrow bamboo". Liu Bang accepted Zhang Liang's opinion, took back his life, avoided the appearance of separatist rule, and achieved the great cause of the unification of the Han Dynasty for 400 years. Later, the Ming Dynasty Liu Ji (word Bowen) had a poem to describe this plot. Zhu Yuanzhang asked Liu Ji, "can you write poetry?" Liu replied: "what is the impossibility of Confucianism when it comes to the end?" When Zhu Yuanzhang was having a meal, he pointed to the bamboo chopsticks in front of him and ordered Liu to write poems. Liu impromptu mouth account said: "a pair of Xiangjiang jade and see, two imperial concubines have shed tears." Zhu Yuanzhang frowned and said, "scholar smell." When the last two sentences came out: "the Han family has been in the world for four hundred years, and they are waiting for a room to borrow." After listening to Liu Ji's poem, Zhu Yuanzhang was overjoyed.
