Song Taizu had the ambition of unifying the world, but where to start? He thought day and night, exhausted his efforts, so he went to visit Zhao Pu on a snowy night. Zhao Pu put forward the strategy of "first South, then north, and attacking barbarians at the same time". After careful military preparation, song Taizu began the war of "first South, then north" in 962. First, they attacked Jingnan and Hunan, which were the weakest in the south, and won the victory. Then they destroyed houshu, Southern Han, Southern Tang and other countries. So far, the Song Dynasty completely unified the south.
