The tragedy of Fox and rabbit is a Chinese idiom. Pinyin is h ú t ù zh ī B ē I, which means that when fox dies, rabbit will be sad. When rabbit dies, fox will also be sad. It is a metaphor for feeling sad because of the death of the same kind. It comes from Yongchuang sketch: Huang Shudu's two false arguments.

They can't be buried in the dirt like sun dengzhi, the next can't be buried in the dirt like Huangfu's rules, and the next can't be filled with the sorrow of Fox and rabbit. Only then can they be complacent. They think that their name is high because of the death of their comrades. How can they bear it?"
