The origin of Idioms
There are Taiyuan, Dianyuan and Chayuan in the imperial history of Tang Dynasty. A senior member of Taiyuan is in charge of miscellaneous affairs, which is called "zaduan". During the Five Dynasties, Feng Dao and he Ning worked together in Zhongshu. Seeing that Feng Dao was wearing new clothes and shoes, he Ning asked how much his new shoes cost.
