Each in his place is one of Andersen's fairy tales.
This little story was first published in the second volume of tales, published in 1853. This is a sketch of the world. The real "glory" is those industrious, simple and kind-hearted people, their portraits should be "suspended in the most glorious position." In fact, those big people who put on airs and swagger are nothing but "flying upside down into a chicken house." This is "each has his own place", and its implication is very deep. In his notes, Andersen said, "the poet T. M. Thiele (1795-1874) said to me," write a story about the flute that has put everything in its proper place. " This is the origin of my story
Andersen was born in 1805 in a shoemaker's family in Denmark. When he was young, he worked as an apprentice, a tailor and a poor school. In 1828, he entered the University of Copenhagen. Andersen has written novels, plays, travel notes and poems, but his greatest talent lies in the creation of fairy tales. His first collection of fairy tales, stories to children, was published in 1835. Generation after generation, people all over the world read Andersen's classic fairy tales such as the daughter of the sea, the little match girl, the emperor's new clothes, snow white, the ugly duckling and Princess pea, and have a wonderful childhood. Andersen wrote more than 160 fairy tales and translated them into more than 80 languages. His works reflect the miserable life of the poor with fantastic fantasy, profound wisdom and humorous satire, satirize the fatuity and flattery of the rulers and their vassals, laugh at the ignorance and tenderness of the rich, and praise the ideals and beliefs of truth, goodness and beauty. For more than 100 years, his works have been loved by children and adults all over the world.
