Introduction to the plot
In 1143 A.D., Lu You, a famous patriotic poet in the history of our country, was 19 years old. Because he spoke frankly in the imperial examination, he expressed his feelings of fighting against the Jin Dynasty and worrying about the country, which was not in line with the taste of Qin Hui, the capitulators who controlled the government. He wanted to submit a report to the court of criminal justice to expose the shortcomings of the imperial examination. Lu You's parents, Lu Zai and Tang Shi, are afraid that their son will "cause trouble". In order to make their son stay at home and study at ease, they let Lu you marry his cousin Tang Wan. After Lu You and Tang Wan got married, they lived a very happy life. However, Lu You's mother is not happy about this. She thinks that Tang Wan's refusal to persuade her husband to study in the east window all day long is not only a loss of womanhood, but also a mistake for her son's career. Therefore, she does not like her daughter-in-law very much. One day, Lu you received a letter from his best friend Chen Daguan, in which he said that he had lost his fortune in order to buy weapons for the anti Jin volunteers, but he had not yet collected enough funds to raise money from Lu you. Tang Wan learned about this and decided to donate a pair of precious gold hairpins left by his dead mother, hoping to do his bit for the anti Jin volunteers. Chen Daguan took them to pawnbroker to canonize them, but unfortunately they fell into pawnbroker Li Chengzhao's hands. Li Chengzhao found out the origin of Jin Chai, maliciously sent her back to Lu Zai and his wife, and maliciously spread rumors to stir up right and wrong. So misfortune arose, and the Tang family immediately forced his son to divorce his wife. Lu you was in great pain, but under the shackles of feudal ethics, he could not disobey his mother's order, so he and Tang Wan went to Chen Daguan's house for a while, hoping that his parents would change their mind in the future. When Tang knew about it, he found the Chen family and forced Lu You and Tang Wan to separate. Li Chengzhao created rumors in the society, blocking Tang Wan's way of "cutting his hair to become a nun, escaping into the empty door". In spite of his son's resistance, the Tang family forced Lu you to marry another wife, and sent Lu You's wedding invitation to the Tang family, in order to eliminate Tang Wan's hope. Ten years later, Lu You married Wang and Tang Wan married Zhao Shicheng. In the 23rd year of Shaoxing (1153), Lu You won the first place in the provincial examination. In the spring of the next year, Lu you went to Lin'an to take part in the palace examination. Because he insisted on not giving up the patriotic idea of resisting Jin in the examination paper, he contradicted Qin Hui. Qin Hui also intended to let his grandson Qin Xun win the first place, so that he could use his power to get rid of Lu you. Lu You is very angry about this. One day in the 25th year of Shaoxing (1155), spring was beautiful. Tang Wan and Zhao Shicheng come to Shenyuan and meet Lu Youyuan. When they meet again, even if there are thousands of words, I don't know where to start. Lu you had mixed feelings and left the "hairpin Phoenix" on the wall. When Tang Wan saw Lu You's words full of bitter tears, he was so sad and indignant that he couldn't get sick after he went home. At the last breath of her life, she wrote a poem of peace for Lu you. Then she died with hatred
