Historical legend
It is said that Xihe tribe, who lived in Tiantai Mountain on the coast of the East China Sea, had rich astronomical knowledge. They were the first to recognize the big dipper and named the one farthest from the dipper as Kui. When Bo Yi became the leader of the tribe, he met Kuixing in the stone dream of Aotou in Fusang mountain, and was inspired by him to write the book of mountains and seas. Later generations respected Kuixing as the God of literary movement (red hair, blue face, raised feet, holding ink bucket, holding a vermilion pen, standing on the top of Aotou), and built kuixian Pavilion behind Aotou stone in Tiantai Mountain (the site still exists). According to this allusion, since the Tang Dynasty, candidates always let the number one scholar stand at the top of the list, which is called "the number one star in the competition, taking the lead". Since then, candidates and dignitaries from all over the country have come to the kuixian pavilion to offer incense, and there has been an endless stream of people making wishes at Aotou stone. Kuixing also seems to care for Rizhao's students. In the song, yuan and Ming Dynasties alone, there were four number one scholars. The Ding and Qin families at the foot of the mountain have numerous scholars, officials and dignitaries, and have cultivated Ding Zhaozhong, the Nobel Laureate in physics. Kuixing Kuixing is one of the four big dipper shaped stars. One said that it was the farthest star from the handle. One of the twenty-eight constellations is the first one of the seven constellations of the white tiger in the West. It was called the God in charge of literary movement by the ancients. Gu Yanwu, a scholar of the Qing Dynasty, said in the book of records of the sun: "the Kui star worshipped by people today, I don't know when it started. Kui is the place where articles are written. Therefore, it's impossible to set up a temple to worship Kui instead of Kui. "Ji'erkuixing is visualized as a ghost with red hair and blue face, standing on the top, leaning forward, fighting and writing. In the Tang and Song Dynasties, the main hall of the palace was carved with dragons and crowns on the stone plate in the middle of the steps. In the examination, the Jinshi stood at the bottom of the rank to welcome the list, while the number one scholar stood at the top of the list, so it was called "the top one".
