It is said that no matter who is in trouble, they can turn to Zhang Shanren for help. Day by day, Zhang Shanren's deeds of good deeds spread more and more, and his reputation spread like wildfire. However, among the eight immortals, Lu Zu of Chunyang, known as Dongbin, once made an appointment with the other seven Dongxian. He would gather at the top of Mount Tai, and at the top of Yunling mountain in the south, he would cook tea, discuss Taoism, drink and have fun. Because it was still early, he became a Taoist and traveled all the way to Mount Tai. At that time, many people were talking about Zhang Shanren, saying that he had a Bodhisattva heart, was generous and righteous, and tolerated things that ordinary people could not tolerate. the fifth generation of Duke Zhang of Shandong lived together, and the Bairen family prospered. It is said that he vowed to do a hundred humiliating things in his life. After ninety-nine times of tolerance, the hundredth time was the day when his grandson got married. Suddenly, a Taoist came to test whether he really had the ability to endure humiliation, so he asked him for the bride to be married with him for one night. Zhang Gong was very embarrassed by this incident, but he was lenient and thought, I've endured all kinds of insults. Why can't I endure this last humiliation? So he advised his grandson to fulfill his great wish to endure humiliation. Later, in the bride's room, the Taoist priest kept on dancing and said, "you can see through and jump through.". Jump to daybreak, suddenly fell to the ground and died, the bride screamed, when everyone came to see, has become a golden man, so rich. Therefore, it is said that Zhang Gong's tolerance has become gold. In that place in Shandong, there is a towering "hundred tolerance hall" to record his humility.
