Li e, male, Han nationality, was born in 1908 and died in May 1932 in CHENXIAN County, Hunan Province. He joined the Communist Party of China in August 1926. In May 1932, when he led his troops to attack a blockhouse on the top of the enemy's mountain, he was shot in the chest and died.

After only two years in private school, he dropped out of school and went back to work in agriculture. In the spring of 1926, he joined the peasant association in his hometown maitian village and served as the leader of the peasant self defense force. In August of the same year, he joined the Communist Party of China. In March 1927, he was sent to the Chen County Peasant Movement Institute to study. After the "April 12" counter revolutionary coup, he went back to his hometown to engage in the struggle to mobilize the masses to denounce Chiang Kai Shek's rebellious revolution. Soon after, he took part in the uprising team of Xiuliang District of the county and the battle of destroying Liangtian reactionary Qingxiang Committee. Later, he was appointed as a military instructor of the red guerrillas in Chen county. In the spring of 1928, he took part in the southern Hunan uprising and served as the commander of the Third Battalion of the second regiment of the seventh division of the workers' and peasants' revolutionary army. He took part in the battle of "shaking ridge" and "three attacks" on Guiyang County. In April of the same year, he went to Jinggangshan with the uprising troops. Soon afterwards, he served as the deputy commander of the secret service company of the 30th regiment of the Fourth Red Army. In June, after failing to attack Chenzhou, he went to Lechang, Guangdong Province to work and carry out activities for the reconstruction of armed forces. Later, he served as an armed member of the Chen County Action Committee in Guangdong. In December 1928, he served as the leader of the first detachment of Chen County guerrillas. So he led his troops back to Chen county and severely punished some local tyrants and evil gentry who were heavily in debt. At the same time, he attacked tax cards many times and raised a lot of money for the party. In May 1929, in order to avoid the enemy's heavy "encirclement and suppression" and preserve its strength, the guerrillas were divided into parts, scattered and concealed. In the spring of 1930, he was elected member of the Chen County Committee of the CPC. The guerrillas were immediately reorganized, and some guns and funds were soon obtained from the door-to-door groups and the gentry houses, which made the guerrillas grow rapidly. In 1931, he served as the leader of the guerrilla brigade in southern Hunan. Zeng led his team to annihilate the local door-to-door regiment in chishisi, Yizhang, and executed the leader of the shovel Communist Party. In May 1932, when he led the army to attack a blockhouse on the top of the mountain, he was shot in the chest and died.
