Zeng Yuanzi
Zeng Yuanzi was born in Jinxi (now Jiangxi Province). He was an official of the Ministry of household affairs and was also a member of the Privy Council. In 1275, Emperor Gong was dismissed for Hancheng. He ascended to the throne and paid homage to the official officials and Guangxi Xuanyu envoys. When the yuan soldiers went south, they, together with Wen Tianxiang, first took Naozhou island in Leizhou, and then took Yashan in Xinhui as a stronghold to resist the yuan, and refused to surrender to Shi Ge, the commander-in-chief of the yuan army. After the Song Dynasty died, he led the remaining troops to Annan. Some poems are preserved in the chronicles of Song poetry, Jiangxi poetry collection and imperial selection of Song poetry.
