Monk of the Northern Wei Dynasty. The year of birth and death is unknown. In the north, Emperor Taiwu of Wei Dynasty destroyed the Buddha, and all the statues of Buddhist scriptures in the north were destroyed. When Emperor Xiaowu of Liu Song Dynasty (453-464) was in power in the Southern Dynasty, he wrote the second volume of the Buddhist scriptures to encourage the creation of Buddhist statues to meet the needs of that time. Although it was forbidden, there were still believers in it in the Tang and Song dynasties.
