Ming Dynasty seal
Mingyin is a Chinese word, which means a seal engraved with a personal name. From Zizhitongjian, the second year of Guangshun, Taizu of the Later Zhou Dynasty.
"Zi Zhi Tong Jian · the second year of Guangshun, Emperor Taizu of the Later Zhou Dynasty" says: "Gu failed to write, and the imperial edict was issued to the three ministers for complicated affairs, so that the name of the engraved seal was used." In the thirty five examples of xuegubian written by Qiu Yan of Yuan Dynasty, it is said that "the name seal should not be written in vain, or the name should match, or the seal should be added, or the seal should be used simultaneously to say that the surname seal is the most correct one." Tao Zongyi of the Ming Dynasty wrote the inscription of the name seal in the record of stopping farming: "according to the second year of Zhou Guangshun, the name seal was engraved in the imperial edict of Pingzhang Ligu, who resigned to the position of sick arm."
