Fang Wei, male, died in September 1912. He was born in suixian County, Hubei Province. He took part in the Wuchang Uprising in 1911. He first served as a soldier in the Third Battalion of the third bid of the 15th Association of the Qing army in Hubei Province, and then was promoted to Zhengmu. He took part in Wuchang Uprising in 1911. After the victory of the uprising, he served as an investigator in the military command department. After the defeat of Hankou, he served as a counsellor of the military order department, followed Zhang Zhenwu to the front line to supervise the war, and was later promoted to head of the general school. He was one of the important leaders of the revolutionary army after the Wuchang Uprising. After the peace negotiation between the north and the south, he went to Beijing with Zhang Zhenwu in January 1912 and was killed in a hotel. Yuan Shikai and Li Yuanhong killed Zhang Zhenwu and Fang Wei. This was an important political case in the early Republic of China, which aroused great concern of the Congress.
