Fang Junyi
Fang Junyi (1815-1888), who was born in Dingyuan, Anhui Province, was named "drinking sweet potato" and "haozizhen". In 1844, he was admitted as a Jinshi. Tongzhi eight years (1869) granted Lianghuai salt transport. When Zeng Guofan was in charge of Liangjiang, Yuan Baoheng, a bachelor, advocated increasing the price of salt, but Fang Junyi firmly opposed it. He has successively served as the censor of Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Henan and Shandong provinces, the salt transport envoy of Guangdong and Guangdong provinces, the governor of Guangdong Province, and the censor of Sichuan Province. After quitting politics, he set up Huainan book company in Yangzhou. He collected all the sages from all over the world, published a group of school journals, and rebuilt Pingshan hall. He is the author of erzhixuan poetry anthology, Renzhai poetry anthology, guxiangaoci and other works, which spread to later generations.
Fang Junyi was born in Luqiao Town, Dingyuan County, Anhui Province. He was a Jinshi in the Jiachen period of Daoguang. In the eighth year of Tongzhi, he was awarded salt transportation envoy to Huainan and Huainan provinces. Later, he retired from politics and went to Yangzhou to set up Huainan publishing house. He recruited all the sages and collected books from the school journals. He also set up Meihua and anding academies, and gathered bachelor's degree and classics from the school journals. In addition to the lectures, Fang Junyi also majored in the continuation of Yangzhou Fu Zhi. Fang Junyi not only taught and wrote books in Yangzhou, but also rebuilt Pingshan hall and other places of interest. So far, the plaque of "Pingshan hall" written by Fang Junyi can still be seen in Yangzhou Pingshan hall.
Fang Junyi spent most of his later years in Yangzhou, teaching and educating people, writing books, singing poems, meeting friends with literature, and living a leisurely life. Yangzhou has been a prosperous city since ancient times with a large number of literati. However, they think highly of Fang Junyi. They think that Fang Junyi is the only one who is outstanding after Lu Zeng. In biographies of Anhui annals, Fang Junyi is compared with Lu Zeng: Although Lu Zeng talks elegant and talented, no works are handed down to later generations. Fang Junyi is quick witted and good at speaking, and can write books. He has published 4000 poems. After 60 years old, he studies all kinds of Historical Biographies and writes one or three or five essays every day, which is rare, so he is famous in Jiangnan.
Fang Junyi, who died at the age of 75, is the author of erzhixuan poetry anthology, Renzhai poetry anthology, guxiangao Ci, chaotianlu, Shucheng diary, Japanese chanting and answering poems, etc.
