Wen Zhengming (1470-1559) was a calligrapher and writer in Ming Dynasty. At the beginning, it was named Bi (also called BI), and its character symbolized Ming. It was also named Zhong. It was a native of Changzhou (now Wuxian County, Jiangsu Province). Together with Zhu Yunming, Tang Yin and Xu Zhenqing, they were called "the four talents of Wuzhong". At the age of 54, Gongsheng recommended the Ministry of officials for examination. He was appointed to the Imperial Academy to wait for the imperial edict. In three years, he resigned. ICBC and cursive script have the style of Zhiyong. The characters are imitated by Huang Tingjian, especially the small regular script. They can also be used in official script. Good at landscape, learning from song and Yuan Dynasty, the composition is stable, the ink is green and elegant. In his early years, his works were meticulous, but in his middle age they were extensive, and in his later years they were both meticulous. He is good at flowers, orchids and figures. The school of Wu is famous for its modern age and many students. Together with Shen Zhou, Tang Yin and Qiu Ying, they are called "four schools of Ming Dynasty".
