Xu Yue
Xu Yue? ——He is a famous mathematician and astronomer in the Eastern Han Dynasty. During the reign of Emperor Ling of the Han Dynasty, Liu Hong, a famous astronomer, created the Qianxiang calendar and gave it to Xu Yue. Xu Yue devoted himself to the study of the calendar, such as Hui, Shuo, Xian, Wang and the eclipse of the sun and the moon, and further improved the "Qianxiang calendar". Later, he taught the calendar to Wuzhong Shuling kaize, so the "Qianxiang calendar" was implemented in the state of Wu. The study of the calendar laid a solid foundation for Xu Yue to engage in the study of mathematics. He collected a large number of mathematical data since the pre Qin period in China and wrote mathematical works of historical significance, such as "the legacy of numerology" and "Suanjing yaoyong". "Shu Shu Ji Yi" introduces 14 calculation methods in the form of question and answer with Liu Hong, "less than a hundred words, but the bone is cut and the quality is abstruse, the mind is full, and the spirit of Tokyo is still strong."
Character experience
Xu Yue, a native of Donglai in the Eastern Han Dynasty, is a famous mathematician and astronomer. He created the earliest abacus in the world, Youzhu abacus, which has a history of about 1800 years. In the Eastern Han Dynasty, Liu Hong, a famous astronomer, compiled the first handed down calendar in ancient China, which took into account the uneven movement of the moon, and taught it to his disciple Xu Yue. Xu Yue devoted himself to the study of lunar movement and further perfected the Qianxiang calendar. During the Three Kingdoms period, this calendar was carried out in Wu state. The study of the calendar laid a solid foundation for Xu Yue to engage in the study of mathematics.
Character achievement
Xu Yue collected a large number of mathematical materials left by his predecessors and wrote mathematical works of historical significance, such as the book of numerology and the book of Suanjing yaoyong. In this book, Xu Yue not only named abacus for the first time in the world, but also designed the style of abacus, which provides an important historical reference for the development and use of abacus in later generations.
