Peng Tailai (1790-1867) was born in Longtou village, Guangli Town, Dinghu district. He was born in Yingde county. He was brilliant when he was young. He was able to write poems at the age of 14. He was once called one of the three talents in eastern Guangdong by Weng Fanggang, a famous writer at that time.
15 years old, bu Yixiang was born (scholar). In 1813, when he was 23 years old, he went to the Imperial College to study. He failed in the imperial examination and was selected as the imperial edict. After a while, he returned home and entertained himself with words. Peng Tailai was a diligent and studious writer, calligrapher, seal cutter and poet in the late Qing Dynasty. His poems can be compared with those of Du Fu, Li He and Han Yu. His calligraphy is excellent in both Li and Cao. When Lin Shaotang, the number one scholar, was lecturing Duanxi Academy in Zhaoqing, he had a close relationship with Peng. He inscribed a plaque with the title of "Tianwen library" as a gift. His works include six volumes of Shiyitang Houji, four volumes of yesterday's Mengzhai anthology, four volumes of Gaoyao Jinshi Lue, six volumes of Dushi Qiubi, and four volumes of duanren Ji.
