summary
Xu Jiusi is diligent in government affairs and production. In order to prevent the county officials from engaging in malpractices in their official business, he handled many official affairs in person. In order to balance the tax and corvee, he personally did everything from investigating the actual situation to assigning tasks. When hearing cases, in addition to the whole process of their own preside over or supervision, but also the implementation of "will order people and relatives to go" measures to strengthen the supervision of the people, to avoid unjust imprisonment. While doing a good job in supervising and directing the production of the whole county, he also personally led the county officials to take part in the labor in the big garden of the county government. The harvest was used to improve the life of the county officials, and also to improve the entertainment level of the past officials, so as to reduce the supply of the county government and reduce the burden of the people.
In the aspect of "Thrift", there is a picture of green vegetables hanging in his room, and the book beside it reads, "for the people, parents should not be unaware of the taste, and for my only child, we should not make vegetables." He demanded that he "never indulge in meat, but eat vegetables". The imperial court stipulated that there was a sum of money on the local grain books that could be used for local officials' expenses. At that time, local officials entertained passing officials as an important social means, using public funds for banquets and gifts. Xu Jiusi did not get any money for the money, and later cancelled the expense by himself.
Xu Jiusi's "forbearance" is that he warned himself that he was willing to be poor and not fight for fame and wealth, but when the interests of the people were infringed, he could not bear at all and vowed not to go along with corrupt officials. Once a subordinate of the government came to Jurong county and asked for bribes as usual, but Xu Gong refused. The subordinates pretended to be crazy and made a big fuss in court. Xu Jiusi ordered them to be tied up and had a fight. In the year of disaster, Xu Jiusi will not tolerate those who take advantage of the disaster and bring them to justice. Xu Jiusi was very busy with government affairs. He was not afraid of the powerful. He was fair and outspoken. He was demoted from Jurong County for offending Fu Yin and Zhong Cheng. "My father and fellow villagers flocked to see Zhongcheng and called him Gongxian." After the intervention of the Minister of the Ministry of officials, he was able to stay in office. After he was transferred to Beijing, he still attached great importance to the country and the people. Yan Song was in power, and Xu Gong was framed by his followers to dismiss him. After returning to his hometown, he set up a charity school, gave relief, appeased the refugees, and built water conservancy, but he still did not change his original intention of benefiting the people.

"The hustle and bustle of the world are all for profit, and the hustle and bustle of the world are all for profit." It is an unavoidable problem to set up the concept of interests in life. For "people" or for "oneself" is the core of interest view. Xu Jiusi, an official of the Ming Dynasty, was diligent, thrifty and patient when it came to his own interests, and dared to fight against the bad officialdom habits to a certain extent. Loving the people is better than cherishing the body and the officials. More than ten thousand worshipers in front of the temple are his best appraisal.
