Zhang Mingshan

Zhang Mingshan (the year of birth and death is unknown), is a Sanqu writer of Yuan Dynasty. His life story is unknown. He was born in Pingyang (now in Shanxi) and lived in Yangzhou in Hunan.

Zhang Mingshan's date of birth and death is unknown, but he once wrote a preface for Xia Bo and his collection of brothels. In 1366, he knew that he lived at the end of the Yuan Dynasty. He had been an official to Xuanwei commander and a scholar in Jiangsu and Zhejiang. After the death of the Yuan Dynasty, he resigned and lived in seclusion in Wujiang. There are two sets of Sanqu and thirteen Xiaoling.

Character evaluation
