Zhang ruo'ai (1713-1746) is a native of Tongcheng, Anhui Province, with the name of Qinglan. Zhang ruoai had a family education. Her grandfather Zhang Ying and father Zhang Tingyu were both Bachelor of Yongzheng and Qianlong dynasties. In 1733, one of the top two Jinshi in the examination list of kuochaoke hall was appointed editor before leaving the hall. Later, the emperor granted cabinet bachelor and Minister of rites. He went to Zhinan study and became a minister of rites.
