Zhang Shaoling, a native of Jixi County in Qing Dynasty
Zhang Shaoling, Du Ru, an old man in Meigu, was a native of Jixi County in the reign of Emperor Shun and Emperor Kang of Qing Dynasty. He was able to write poems and paintings, landscape and cloud. He was very beautiful and deep. He was also very good at figures. He first imitated many famous artists, especially Mi Xiangyang. He once toured Jinling, and Daxian invited famous artists to paint Chunxiao in Han Palace. Shaoling painted Xiaozi in his own place, which was the best in Danqing. There are many pieces of Shaoling mountains and waters collected by Anbo, all of which are large in size, but there is no title. But in the lower corner of the book, there are rough characters, and the two pieces of Jianghang and Xishan are fine. Reference: Honglu painting, Jixi County annals.
