Life of the characters
Shanxi Jiexiu people, Chongzhen Jinshi in the first year, by the county magistrate Lei Henan Road censor. Fearless of power, he was framed by Chen Yan, a bachelor, and sent to prison. He was pardoned and returned to his hometown. In the first year of Shunzhi, he was recommended by Liu Yuyou, the Chamberlain, as the censor of he Nandao. After three years of filial piety, Ding Mu was still in charge of Henan Dao. In the eighth year of Shunzhi reign, Chen Mingxia, the Minister of the Ministry of officials, Hong Chengchou, the censor of zuodou in the duchayuan, and Chen Zhilin, the Minister of rites, were impeached. In the process of discriminating the censors, they were unjustly dealt with. At that time, Emperor Shunzhi Fulin was out hunting and handed the matter over to Prince Xun man Dahai. Man Dahai summoned all the ministers to hear the case one by one. He believed that Zhang Xuan's accusation was true, so he detained Chen Mingxia and Hong Chengchou in Taiji factory, sent soldiers to guard them, and sent an urgent envoy to report to Fulin. Unexpectedly, Tan Tai, the Minister of the Ministry of official, arrived at Fulin's residence in person to prove to Fulin that what Zhang Xuan had played was not true, in order to overturn Chen Mingxia's case. After hearing Tan Tai's defense, Fulin summoned the princes and ministers of Baile Beizi to discuss the case. Tan Tai "roared and fought against the party members". When he agreed to enter the concert, Fulin was surprised to see that Chen Mingxia had committed many crimes. At this time, Tan Tai "stood up" to Fulin and lied that all the accusations were false accusations by Zhang Xuan, and they were all things before the amnesty of the imperial court On the other hand, Chen Mingxia should not only be innocent, but also be guilty of Zhang Xuan's false accusation. Tan Tai deliberately conceals the different opinions among the ministers, so that Fulin mistakenly thinks that all the kings and ministers agree to sit back on Zhang Xuan, so he approves the music and hanges Zhang Xuan. Only three months after the incident, Tan Tai was executed for disorderly politics and Fu duoergun. In the first month of the ninth year of Shunzhi, Fulin sent the case of Zhang Xuan to ji'erhalang, shuosai, together with the inner court and the Minister of the Ministry of punishment for reexamination. Hong Chengchou was forgiven by Fulin. However, Chen Mingxia's "eloquence, evasion, and poor interrogation are the result of crying and confessing", which makes Fulin see his true face clearly and lament that "he's a villain who twists and turns to cheat!" However, when he dealt with Tan Tai before, Fulin had an order not to pursue those who were involved with Tan Tai, so he still pardoned Chen Mingxia, only changed his official rank and salary, and sent him under the yellow flag Han Army and idle officials to follow the dynasty. Zhang Xuan was vindicated and presented to Taichang Siqing. Ziji came to the post of minister of rites.
