Literary works
Sui Han Tang Shi Hua, written by Zhang Jie, is one of the most valuable poems in the Southern Song Dynasty and plays an important role in the whole Chinese poetics. There is an old volume of the poem, such as Xuehai Lei Bian. The original version has been lost for a long time, and a large number of descriptions have been found since Ming and Qing Dynasties. During the reign of Emperor Qianlong of Qing Dynasty, there were the collection of rare books in wuyingdian, the continuation of Shihua of the past dynasties, and the Sikuquanshu, which were divided into two volumes. The first volume is the general introduction of poetry, which focuses on the theory of poetry creation and comments on the excellent works of poets in the past dynasties; the second volume is the monograph of Du Fu, which belongs to the theory of writers and works.
theoretical value
The most outstanding theoretical value of Zhang Jie's Shi Hua lies in the discussion of the aesthetic characteristics of the art of poetry. First of all, it emphasizes the truth of emotion in ideological content; second, it requires "medium" in artistic expression. The so-called "Zhongde" actually includes two aspects: lyric and scenery. It requires the poet to grasp the basic characteristics of things and present the difficult scenery vividly in front of the readers. It also requires the poet to convey his inner feelings with the help of scenery description.
style of art
Zhang Jie emphasizes the implication in his artistic style, which means "his words are euphemistic, his meaning is subtle, not forced or revealed". He criticizes Bai Juyi's poems as "the sentiment is lost in too detail, the scenery is lost in too dew, so it becomes shallow and near, and has no more implication", and advocates to narrow down his poems and add a little implication. He thinks that a good poem should have "meaning", "taste" and "Qi" and "Rhyme". "Meaning" and "taste" can be learned. As for the level of "Rhyme", the strength of "Qi" is a factor of the writer's temperament and temperament, which cannot be strengthened. Therefore, he opposed the poetry which was too explicit, and criticized it from Yuan and Bai in Tang Dynasty to Su and Huang in this dynasty. In particular, he was dissatisfied with the tendency of abusing allusions, adding odd words, taking comments as poems and rhymes as poems in Su and Huang's poems, and thought that it was "a curse among poets". "Since the Han and Wei dynasties, poetry has been better than Zijian, better than Li and Du, and worse than Su and Huang," he said Although he is biased in the overall evaluation, he can see the disease of poetry at that time and dare to say that Su and Huang are the root of the disease, which needs vision and courage when Su and Huang's poetry style is shrouded in the literary world. This is the greatest contribution and feature of Sui Han Tang Shi Hua.
