Zhang Kan, male, from Wuhu, Anhui Province, graduated from the medical department of Wannan Medical College in 1976, is a psychologist. At present, he is the director of the International Cooperation Bureau of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the president of the Chinese Society for ergonomics, the executive director and Secretary General of the Chinese Psychological Society, the member of the Chinese Committee of UNESCO, the member of the Chinese Committee of the International Federation of science and technology, and the executive member of the international society for applied psychology.

Zhang Kan is from Wuhu, Anhui Province. He graduated from the medical department of Anhui Wannan Medical College in 1976, obtained a master's degree from the laboratory of Aeronautical Engineering Psychology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1982, and obtained a Ph.D.in psychology from the University of Illinois, Urbana Champion (UIUC) in 1990. from 1983 to 1997, he worked in the Institute of psychology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and served as an associate researcher, master's supervisor, researcher, doctoral supervisor, office director, deputy director, director, etc. In 1997, he was transferred to the International Cooperation Bureau of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and published more than 50 papers at home and abroad. In 1996, he won the second prize of science and technology of the Commission of science, technology and industry for national defense; in 1997, he won the third prize of natural science; in 1999, he won the second prize of natural science progress and the second prize of science and technology progress of the Commission of science, technology and industry for national defense. He was elected vice president of the international Heart Association at the 29th International psychological Congress on July 21-25, 2008. The election of Professor Zhang Kan is the third time that he has served as vice president of the international Heart Association after Chinese psychologists Professor Jing Qicheng and Professor Zhang Houcan. Since China joined the international Heart Association in the early 1980s, in the past 28 years, China has always maintained a quota of Executive Committee of the international Heart Association, and has been elected as vice chairman three times.
