Mei LengSheng
Mei LengSheng (1895-1976) was born in Yongjia city (now Lucheng District of Wenzhou) with the name of Yuqing. He graduated from Zhejiang law and Politics College in the early years of the Republic of China. He is erudite and good at poetry.
Personal experience
In 1920, he founded Ouhai tide weekly in Wen. In May of the same year, he organized Shenshe, a literary group, with Wang Yuying, Xia Chengtao, Chen Zhongtao, etc., and published four volumes of articles, poems, and CI. Later, he learned Ci from Wu Xinglin, the Daoyin of Ouhai. The following year, with the support of Lin, Xie Kangle temple in Dongshan Academy at the foot of Jigu mountain was rebuilt, and a building was built on the hillside to serve as the ancestral hall of Yongjia CI poets. At the same time, Ou society, a CI learning group, was founded, and two episodes of Ou society CI notes were published. He was elected the third member of Zhejiang Provincial Council. In the spring of 1935, he helped to hold an art exhibition in Yongjia District, Zhejiang Province; in April, he participated in Xu Panyun and Liu Jingchen's initiation of the establishment of the Yongjia collection Committee for the remains of the ancient sages, and was promoted to be the director of the general affairs and printing department; and then he participated in the initiation of the supplement of Guangxu's Yongjia county annals. In the winter of 1936, at the invitation of Zhu Duomin, he went to Shaanxi Provincial Department of finance as secretary, and then returned to Zhejiang provincial government as secretary of accounting department. During the Anti Japanese War, he served as the librarian of LIANLI Jueyuan Library of old Wenzhou in February 1941. He was also a teacher of Chinese in LIANLI middle school, Ouhai middle school and the third temporary middle school of Zhejiang Province. After the victory of the Anti Japanese War, he continued to serve as the librarian, wrote inscriptions for the memorial of the Anti Japanese soldiers in Songtai mountain, and also served as a Chinese teacher of Wenzhou Jianguo senior business school. he devoted his whole life to library work and devoted all his energy to the collection of books and documents. In 1924, he suggested that Wang Yuying accept the 9000 books collected by Huang Zhongzhen suige in Ruian; in 1925, he helped Liu Shaokuan to issue the collection of books, which was collected by Wu Xing, Liu Hanyi, Zhang Shiming, Zhou Mengpo, Zhang Yuanji in Haiyan, and Xu Zhongke in Hang County; later, he took part in receiving the copies handed over by Wenzhou ancient philosophers collection Committee There are more than 400 of them. After serving as the curator, he received a large number of books from pan guogang, Huang Qun and Zhou Shouliang. During the Japanese bombing and occupation of Wenzhou, rare books were transported to Guoxi, Gaolou and other mountainous areas for protection. At the beginning of the founding of the people's Republic of China, it successively collected tens of thousands of books from Lu Lingshi, Xu Xinhui, Li Hongwen, Zhang Dan, Wang Lifu, Xiang Yinxuan and other families. It spared no effort to collect a large number of precious ancient books from land reform teams, paper mills, and even scrap dealers, which continuously enriched the ancient books of Wenzhou Library, with a total number of 140000. In his early years, he compiled 10 volumes of "catalogue of ancient books in collection" and recorded more than 15000 kinds of bibliographies. At the same time, he collected local anecdotes and compiled Wenzhou local history materials. During the cultural revolution, he suffered from stroke and died in July 1976. There is a copy of "jingfengge compendium".
