Zuo Zongzhi (1804-1872), the second elder brother of Zuo Zongtang. Zhongji, Jingqiao, Zhuling woodcutter. He was born in zuojiayu, Xiangyin County, Hunan Province in 1804.

Life experience

He studied with his father when he was young. He entered the county school at the age of 13 and was a supplementary student at the age of 24. In the summer of the second year, he came back home and never wanted to be an official. Most of them lived in seclusion in mountain villages, read books, or made friends with gentlemen and scholars, or took charge of family affairs, and studied with their nephews.
