Sun Sheng
Sun Sheng (1501-1560), whose name is Ji Quan, was born in Yuyao, Zhejiang Province. He was the youngest son of sun Sui, a loyal minister in Ming Dynasty. In 1535, Han Yinglong was the second person in the Imperial Academy. In the 25th year of Jiajing period (1546), he was appointed as the examiners of yingtianfu rural examination. He was promoted to the Imperial Academy. Official to the Ministry of rites in Nanjing. Because his father sun Sui was murdered by Zhu Chenhao, the king of Ning, he did not write the word "Ning" all his life, and he lived in an official position and did not say anything about others. He was 60 years old. As a gift to Prince Shaobao, his posthumous title is Wenke. Sun Sheng has a wide range of knowledge, and he has studied hard in the biographies of six hundred families and gold, stone and bamboo slips. He imitated the two Han Dynasties in writing, and his poems were written in Han and Wei dynasties, and in Tang Dynasty, especially in Du family. His academic works include "the record of observing the heaven by observing the changes", while his poems and essays are compiled into 20 volumes of "Wenke collection". Sun Kan, Sun Sheng's eldest brother, was the number one scholar of martial arts in the fifth year of Jiajing period (1526). Sun long, sun's second brother, went to Shang Baoqing. His brother was known as the "three filial sons".
Life of the characters
Sun's family lived in sunjiajian, northwest of Zhuxi Lake in Yuyao. In the late Southern Song Dynasty, they moved to the east of lake one after another. They were called "sunjiajing" (now Henghe Town, Cixi City). Sun Sheng's mother, Yang Taifu, was born after Yao Jiang's famous family. When she was a child, she was familiar with the book of filial piety and the biography of Lienv, and naturally knew how to teach children. After Xiao Sun was born, although she was in her infancy, Mrs. Yang always paid attention to being respectful and cautious, so as to show her filial piety. At the age of four or five, we have begun to teach the written language. Sun Sheng was born and distinguished. In his first year, he was fond of reading and was quick at memorizing. He could keep a diary of thousands of words. Usually, when reading ancient books, I often take the famous and virtuous people in the books as my example, hoping that I can be like them in the future. Besides classics and history, Sun Sheng especially liked ancient Chinese poetry, which undoubtedly laid the foundation for his later poetry creation.
In the blink of an eye, in 1516, Sun Sheng had grown into a young man. This year, he entered Yuyao county to study. At that time, the two elder brothers had already tried to enter higher education, and they were more than ten years older than him (Uncle brother was 19 years old, and Zhong brother was 12 years old), but Sun Sheng's reputation was comparable.
While the three brothers were studying hard, the obituary of their father sun Sui's death came from Jiangxi Province. The three brothers "kowtow to the heaven, and all the five internal affairs split." they went to revenge and vowed not to be born with thieves. After the event, Han Yushi, the governor of Zhejiang Province, summoned them and paid special attention to Sun Sheng. He interviewed them on the spot for the article "hanging the ancient in yuewangtai". In an instant, Han Yu Shi was so surprised that he boasted that Sun Sheng's article could be called "preface to Tengwang Pavilion". From then on, Sun Sheng's literary name spread all over central Zhejiang.
Sun Sheng was recommended to his hometown in the fourth year of Jiajing and visited Taixue in the sixth year. After two examinations, he was the first choice, so he became famous as the capital. Scholars from all over the world gathered under the door to seek advice.
Sun's family has always been poor, and the early death of loyal Gongsun Sui made his family even more difficult. The eldest brother, the commander of the Department, was in charge of the capital, and his family lived in sun Kan's residence. However, it is difficult for a person's salary to support a large family, let alone in the capital. Sun Sheng passed on the classics, which happened to be able to subsidize his family.
Although his family is poor, Sun Sheng is not self contemptible. He wrote "don't say that the ancients are out of reach; don't say that the first thing in the world is out of reach" on the book kitchen to motivate himself. In the fourteenth year of Jiajing, Sun Sheng would try Chinese style, and in the imperial court, he was awarded the first and second person (ranking eye) with the saying of "benevolence and propriety to protect the nation" and was awarded the editor of the Imperial Academy. At the beginning, the eldest brother took the first place in the martial arts examination. All the people in the world thought that the sun brothers successively dominated the world with their arts and martial arts, which was God's reward to the loyal Duke.
Sun Sheng is pure in nature, prudent and fearless. He often examines himself behind closed doors and studies classics in order to manage the affairs of the world. He never does anything irrelevant to his duty. Everyone who has seen him thinks that he has public AIDS. In the spring of the 18th year of Jiajing reign, the East Palace was established. As long as the officials of the Imperial Academy offered their eulogy, they could increase their official positions according to the rules. Others competed with each other, but he was the only one who didn't. People who are lower than him have lost the chance to increase their posts because of his inaction. They all blame him one after another. Sun Sheng is not moved. He also participated in the collation of Liesheng Yuwen, Wujing and 21shi, continued the compilation of Daming Huidian, cleaned up the military posts, and presided over the Nanji rural examination in the 25th year of Jiajing. He worshipped elegance and dethroned levity, and all the old shortcomings of reform were exhausted. Many of the candidates he enrolled were celebrities, among whom Xu Zhen and Yuan Hongyu were the best.
As Sun Sheng is well read and diligent, he is quite familiar with the rules and regulations of the times. No matter what he does, he never argues with others, but he is far away from thinking and must be good at assessment. His colleagues were all impressed by his ability to test the gains and losses. At that time, the imperial academy held a poetry meeting every year. Sun Sheng often advocated the idea of rhyme and harmony among his colleagues, or he became the first poet, and then the public responded one after another. Therefore, Zhao Zhenji has the sentence of "Ji Zi Wen Bo, Wang Sun Zhong Xiao Jia" in his poems, which was thought to be a wise man at that time.
In February of the 28th year of Jiajing reign, Sun Sheng was promoted to the post of Guozijian. He thought that education should focus on "first understanding, then implementing", so he asked the students to put forward their own knowledge, and praise the outstanding in yiluntang, so as to educate other students. He also worried about the difficulty of floating competition, so he came up with a way to warn students with hanging rules. Based on his teaching experience of lecturing practice, he formulated 22 regulations. Even relatives and dignitaries can never agree with each other. Therefore, students can strictly abide by the provisions of the regulations, and the style of study of Guozijian has greatly changed.
In the 31th year of Jiajing reign, Emperor Shizong built Yuanyou palace in the old residence. Sun Sheng served as the right Minister of the Ministry of rites and went to hubei'an Luzhou to pray for peace. After the local officials received the news, they prepared the first-class Chengchuan for governance and rich food and wine. Seeing this, Sun Sheng immediately changed his face and asked, "aren't these the blood of the common people?" Then he waved his hand and told them to withdraw. People along the way clapped their hands when they heard about it.
Passing between Xiang and Deng on the way, Sun Sheng stopped his car to inquire about his sufferings and wrote a poem for his ministers. Shouchen immediately ordered relief, many people get relief from starvation. When Hu Zongxian saw Sun Sheng's poems, he ordered people to engrave them on the stone and said, "the words of benevolent people are beneficial to Pu."
In the second year, he returned to Beijing and changed the right servant of the Ministry of officials. When he Liangjun, a famous composer, came to visit the Ministry of official affairs, Sun Sheng had a wise eye to know the treasure. "He knew his prose among the people, thought that he could write in the history of Chinese, and even recited his sentences among the ministers." In this way, he Liangjun was gradually known to the gentry in the capital.
Unfortunately, this year's Dragon Boat Festival, mother Mrs. Yang died, so Ding you was in mourning. When the imperial gentry heard of the obituaries, they all came to the residence to offer sacrifices, but Sun Sheng refused to accept all their gifts. Some people insisted that "this is the money for buying silk", so Sun Sheng asked them to burn them in front of their mother's death.
In July, Sun Sheng and his eldest brother helped him to go back to Hangzhou. In September, he arrived in Hangzhou, and his eldest brother lost his trip. When Sun Sheng returned to the second funeral, he was as ceremonious as a martyr. When he was a vegetarian, he did not walk in the city. Due to the heavy blow of the death of his relatives, the Overwork of funeral service and the long-term vegetarianism, he was very weak. He was advised to eat some meat to recuperate. He shook his head firmly and tears fell down his face. From then on, the chronic disease of spleen disease came down.
Time flies. Three years have passed, and the recommendation of caressing comes one after another. In April of the 35th year of Jiajing period, he became the right servant of the Ministry of official. Sun Sheng is a good person. As soon as he finds something useful, he directly recommends it to Shangshu. He doesn't want people who are recommended to know it. It is well known that he is clean and honest, and he does not take any unjust wealth. Therefore, when he was in the Ministry of official affairs, no one dared to give him gifts in private, and no one dared to entrust him with private affairs.
One year later, he was promoted to the Minister of rites in Nanjing. Shangshu's statement was more practical and accepted by Shizong. Officials at that time thought that Nanjing was far away, and they were always unhappy when they were appointed to Nanjing. But this time Sun Sheng asked for it himself, so the literati admired his integrity even more. They all hoped that he could join the cabinet and preside over the state affairs as soon as possible.
During his tenure in Nanjing, Sun Sheng tried his best to rectify the extravagant social atmosphere, respected the honest and simple folk customs, and set an example for the people, which greatly improved the social atmosphere. He also devoted himself to the study of the ways of governing the country, including frontier fortresses, household registration and consumption, and even criminal names and money.
But Nanjing, after all, can't compare with Beijing. It has few affairs and is more leisurely, which provides Sun Sheng with a lot of free time. In his spare time, he devoted himself to writing. At that time, he Liangjun lived in Nanjing as a guest and became a Zhi of his career. Sun Sheng once again recommended him to the literati. Before long, Chen he, an old friend of his hometown, also came to Nanjing. Chen he is a calligrapher, painter and composer with artistic temperament. He is upright, sincere and has many artistic talents. Unfortunately, his fate is bumpy. The same artistic attainments and interests made them three people with different status form a deep friendship. Later, when Chen Heke died in Nanjing, Sun Sheng "mourned and wept.". Soon after, Sun Sheng was ill and asked for a visit at the age of 20. Just for he Liangjun to open the back door, "to call, then sit and talk.". Liang Jun was afraid that he would be tired after sitting for a long time. Sun Sheng stopped him several times when he got up to say goodbye. He said: "the ancients said that it is better to talk with each other in a disease than to take medicine. It's very quick to talk and it's not bitter." Therefore, a few days before Sun Sheng's death, Liang Jun was still in front of his sickbed to discuss literature and art, and the sundial began to appear.
