Yu Qiqing (1856-1919), a native of Jiangdu, Jiangsu Province, was named Anfu, Suiping and Haifan. Guangxu 12 years (1886) Jinshi, 2A 11, later changed to Shu Ji Shi, granted editing. He once served as the same examiner and chief examiner in shuntianfu and Henan Province, as well as the academic and political envoy in Guangdong Province. His works include Xiaoxun ChangLou poetry anthology and youqiu yuxinzhai anthology.
In August 1900, the Allied forces of the eight powers captured Beijing. Empress Dowager Cixi fled to Xi'an to take refuge with Emperor Guangxu. She also accompanied Qiqing to the West. When the royal family fled to the west, Wang Pengyun, a good friend of Yu Qiqing, who was known as the head of the four great poets in the late Qing Dynasty, stayed in Beijing and witnessed the burning, killing and plundering of the invaders. In the residence of "siyinzhai", he took Ci as a lesson all day to express the pain of the country's destruction and family's death, and later compiled the autumn Ci of gengzi. The anthology is full of loyalty, indignation, generosity and sadness, which shows the passion of patriotic scholars and officials. The humiliation of the royal family's flight to the west, the ugly behavior of the officials in the struggle, and the bumpy life all the way gave Yu Qiqing unprecedented stimulation in his life. After Sui Luan returned to Beijing, he also took part in Wang Pengyun's Ci class gathering activities, telling what he saw and heard, expressing their grief and indignation, and chanting them into Ci poems to express their depression, helplessness and indignation when the Qing government was corrupt and incompetent and the Qing Dynasty was about to collapse. There are 159 poems recited by 14 people, which are integrated into "spring sting chant". The activities of this Ci class group had a great influence at that time, and soon spread from the capital to the whole country, and even dominated the trend of Ci in the late Qing Dynasty. In 1901, he was released from the capital in Qiqing and worked in Henan and Guangdong successively until the Qing government was overthrown. During this period, he witnessed the whole process of Qing Dynasty from decline to death, not only tired of officialdom life, but also disgusted with official career. He once wrote in a poem "caged birds are sent to old friends in Guanzhong": "once a cage falls, it is not free, and there is no old couple with whining. Leave blank to go to the empty traces, dream into the clouds, regret Zhuang you. If Bi Yi leaves the curtain early, he will lose his body. After the most pitiful wind and rain, Suo Mu's lonely baby said "zheji". In the end, Yu Qiqing returned home with his worries, and since then he has been studying behind closed doors.
