Zhou Shao, whose date of birth and death is unknown, was an official prostitute in the Song Dynasty. There is a song "white parrot", yearning for Congliang.
Life
During the period from 990 to 1078, the famous prostitutes in Suzhou and Hangzhou had the name of poetry. He made friends with Hu Chu and long Liang. He became a native of Xining during the reign of emperor Shenzong of the Song Dynasty. He had contacts with Su Shi and Cai Xiang. See volume 7 of Hou Ji Lu for details.

The story of Zhou Shao, an official prostitute, is recorded in Su Shi's Tianji Wuyun tie.
This happened during the reign of emperor Shenzong of the Song Dynasty. At that time, Su Song, the minister, went to Hangzhou for official business. Chen Xiang, the governor of Hangzhou, hosted a banquet and Zhou Shao, the official prostitute, served the banquet. At that time, Zhou Shao was already a famous prostitute in Suzhou and Hangzhou, and he often had dinner with high officials. Cai Xiang, a great calligrapher and tea connoisseur of the Song Dynasty, was defeated by Zhou Shao in "tea fight" several times. During the dinner, Zhou Shao asked Su Song to help him become a prostitute. Su Song immediately pointed to the white parrot in the cage under the corridor and said, "if you can sing a good poem about it, I will plead with Chen Taishou for you." Zhou Shao compared himself to the white parrot in the cage, wrote an impromptu poem, and wrote: "the empty nest in Longshang is so startled that I can't bear to look back and comb my feathers. If you open the cage and release the snow clad woman, you will read the Avalokitesvara Prajna Sutra for a long time. " People applaud for the success of the poem.
