Zhou Xipu (1745-1804), a native of Xiangyin, Hunan Province, was an official of the Qing Dynasty. In the 40th year of the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty (1775), the Jinshi was selected. He once served as magistrate of ningshuo and Wuwei counties in Gansu Province, and also took photos of Tongzhi of Ningxia water conservancy.
Life of the characters
Miluo Gaojiafang shanpeichong people. He was very intelligent since he was a child. He was able to recite sutras at the age of 4, to write poems at the age of 9, and to take part in the county examination at the age of 11. He was 15 years old and graduated from Yuelu Academy at the age of 22. He was 29 years old and 30 years old. Back in Hunan, he served as the mountain chief of Xiangyin Yanggao academy, and successively lectured in Xupu academy, Liuyang Dongshan academy, Liling Lujiang academy, etc. He and his younger brother Xi Wei were among the "seven sons in central Hunan". Later, he was appointed magistrate of ningshuo County in Gansu Province, and was transferred to Wuwei County in 1793. The next year, he returned to his hometown after his stepmother died, ending his political career and devoting the rest of his life to education. When Zhou Xipu was the magistrate of ningshuo County in Gansu Province, because ningshuo was located in a remote area, the place was cold, covered by quicksand, and there was a wide range of crops and a small income. In addition, the Qing troops were stationed here, so the local people were responsible for the food and labor, which made the people miserable. The young and the strong fled to make a living, while the old and the weak sold their children. After he took office, he went deep into the people, visited the people's sufferings, and wrote eight poems of Ningxia Caifeng poetry, which described the importance of scientific collection and the poverty of the people. He sent it to Wang Zhuyi, a vassal of Gansu Province, and urged to postpone the corvee and reduce the burden of the people. After he was promoted to the post of water conservancy Tongzhi, he waded across mountains and rivers, built canals to guide rivers, controlled mountains and rivers, helped develop agriculture and animal husbandry production, and developed the economy of the border region. During his tenure as magistrate of Wuwei County, he seriously inspected the departments of Erdos, Alan and Shanshan, went deep into the poor frontier, investigated the different customs, and recorded them in the form of poetry, leaving many first-hand frontier materials of poetry styles. People call him a rare "Zhenzhi county". In 1794, Zhou Xipu returned to his hometown because of his filial piety. After the period of filial piety, he devoted the rest of his life to education. He has served as the head of Yanggao, shigu, Penghu and Lianxi academies. He died in Lianxi Academy in 1804. Zhou Xipu was diligent in writing and wrote a lot of works in his life. In addition to the above-mentioned eight Ningxia Caifeng poems, he also left a collection of anyuzhai poems and essays. Yuanxiang Qi Jiu Ji collected 73 of his poems. According to the censor Qin Xiaoxian once published his manuscript, and commented: "poetry thinks of the handsome, the happy frown promotes the comfortable, the middle selects the external quotation, but the tune purports to see its clear entertainment."

The anthology of Anyu Zhai's poems and essays, four volumes, was printed in Yangzhi Library in 1882. There are eight volumes of Anyu Zhai Ji and Yuanxiang Qi Jiu Ji, which is called Ji Bu Yu Shui, so it is lost. Sikouying, Qin Xiaoxian, tried to find out the preface of his incomplete manuscript when he inspected Hunan. In the 20th year of Daoguang (1840), Hengshan had passed on salary before it was published. In the sixth year of tongzhi (1867), sun Gezhi found that the unpublished manuscript belonged to Zuo Zongtang, who revised and published it again.
