Born in November 1931 in Jiangning, Jiangsu Province. He graduated from the Journalism Department of Renmin University of China in July 1962. In June 1949, he began to work in PLA newspaper, worker's daily, worker's Publishing House and China Metallurgical newspaper. He served as director, deputy chief editor and director of the Department (Office). After his retirement in 1992, he served as executive director of China Press Association, deputy director and Secretary General of industry newspaper Committee of ministries and commissions.
The first edition of worker's Daily published on January 28, 1980 was selected into the book "people who compose the triumphant song of communism" published by worker's publishing house; the first edition of metallurgical daily published on July 4, 1986 was selected into the book "Wu Gang epic" published by China Federation of literary and art publishing company Ren, published by the workers' Publishing House, is the first monograph on how to be a factory director (Manager) from the perspective of theory and practice in China.
